Your dedication and passion to your craft is undeniable and I’m sure you want the most polished piece possible in the hands of your readers. That’s where proofreading comes in.
Proofreading is the final pass through your manuscript. It focuses on catching any remaining errors that get overlooked after reading a piece six times or anything that has come up during formatting. This is the last step in your manuscripts journey before publication and should be done after formatting for publication by a fresh pair of eyes.
I will focus on:
- Consistency in tense
- Consistency in dialogue formatting
- Typos
- General grammar and punctuation
- Consistency in capitalization and abbreviations
- Consistency in formatting
- Any other small errors or inconsistencies that may linger
You will receive:
- The edited file including track changes in your preferred format
- An edited file with all track changes accepted for easy reading
- Feedback through in-line comments
- Access to meetings with me regarding any questions or concerns once the files are sent over.
